Finnland has the highest suicide rate in europe but ok

2 саат мурун
Jay Vsa
Jay Vsa

Not true. The latest suicide statistics in Finland (Finnish Statistical Center) were made in 2019, when 810 suicides were committed in Finland, which is 14.7 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants. The EU average is 13 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants. and in the United States, for example, 14.2 per 100,000 inhabitants commit suicides, so suicides in Finland are only slightly above the EU average and about the same as in the United States. Suicides are considered a serious problem in Finland and therefore a comprehensive anti-suicide program has been launched in Finland (2019-2030 program). The countries with the highest suicide mortality rates worldwide include Lithuania, Russia, Guyana, and South Korea.

If the US wasn't brimming with people so afraid of being suckers that they instead end up subscribing to every conspiracy theory, then we would've survived the worst of this pandemic already. Instead, we have the anti-maskers, the defiant groups with a warped, self-centered sense of liberty, and the generally ignorant, all working hard to keep the US economy in the gutter.

You guys obviously don’t understand money. She is putting that money elsewhere and making minimum payments on her debt which I’m sure she hardly notices. She mentioned waiting for someone in office to get rid of the loan. If she paid it off and someone came and took it all away the next year, you’d be calling her stupid for not waiting. But sure, keep listening to advice from people with no money 😂

As a life long Torontonian and a millennial whose a few years older than the couple, I like CNBC's content but this video actually bummed me out... to be fair, my degree isn't in any way related to what the two perused but I guess the comparison of me now vs them at 24 is what hit me. Either way, for being 24, they sound very mature and financially responsible. I know they say its not good to compare yourself but you can't help it. Note that i did work at the big 4 for a brief period of time.

Did anyone notice....most of them speak English....and probably another two or three. In the USA the public education system is amateurish at best. The only thing that matters in USA schools is having some sort of winning football team. Coaches greatly over paid. Most of the graduates from high school in the USA come out more ignorant than when they went in. Education is not revered at large in most of the USA. USA people rely on the media to mould their thinking. Most USA people are estranged from each other....the development of the class system. The only things that matter are status and money...if you ain't got them....forget it. Different mind set in the USA from Nordic nations.....BUT....not everyone that lives in the USA is miserable....that's not possible. I live in the USA and I'm not unhappy or constantly worrying bout being happy.

I just moved from Denver and was making $54k a year. Denver is a place for chances and opportunity for most. There is Diversity compared to other cities but for me it wasn't as diverse as most people claim. I moved there in 2015, and it was expensive but other areas wasn't as bad. Now it's just ridiculous with the pricing of places to live, I call Denver " Condo City " they are building so many condos and apartments on top of one another. Charging high rent and most of these places stay empty or half empty for about a year or more. I am working in another city now my pay is same but my dollar goes far because cost of living is cheaper. Only thing I will miss about Colorado is its beautiful mountain view, that's it.

Danish-American here. I grew up in the US (upper middle class). When I turned 18 I moved to Denmark to study and never looked back. While I was basking in the amazement of free education (actually getting paid every month to study) and free health care, my friends back home where getting progressively stressed out and angrier that they were being forced into this capitalistic hellhole of never ending debt, leading to a dead end job to pay it off and be able to survive. It still makes me sad to connect with those old friends, because of how their attitudes have soured over the years due to the condition of living for the vast majority of Americans and the very narrowed path presented to most, in order to be “successful”. Here I am in Denmark, I was by far the youngest to start studying. I remember thinking I was kind of edgey for taking a gap year after high school, but when I came to DK everyone sort of laughed, like, you only took one year off?! The outlooks on life are so much more relaxed because you know that you’ll always be taken care of, so you have a greater sense of security and thus freedom. Some scoff at this paradigm claiming its socialism or communism. These people are out of touch, when you look at the state of things in the two countries. Land of the free? Well Denmark certainly is (:
